This preparatory course is offered by the ASCM Oregon Chapter and is designed to help you successfully pass your certification exam and advance your career. The program includes hands-on learning, practice exams, exercises, and a structured study plan to keep you on track. Your registration fee covers tuition, course materials, textbooks, a study guide, online access to practice exams, and a parking pass for PCC Sylvania campus (for in-person classes). All materials and course details will be provided on the first day of class. Please note: a $100 late registration fee applies if you enroll within two weeks of the course start date. This fee covers the cost of expedited shipping for your course materials.
About This Course
Resilience and agility are what separate average supply chains from high-performing ones. Earning the APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation equips you with the skills to operate confidently across the entire supply chain from demand planning and procurement to production, inventory control, and distribution. Through the CPIM program, you’ll build a strong foundation in how supply chains actually function, not just in theory but in real-world application. You’ll learn how to balance supply and demand, optimize inventory levels, improve forecasting accuracy, and align operations with business strategy. Just as important, you’ll develop the ability to identify risks early, respond to disruptions with speed and discipline, and keep operations running when conditions change. The program also emphasizes practical use of technology and data. You’ll gain insight into how modern systems, such as ERP, advanced planning tools, and analytics platforms, can be leveraged to increase visibility, improve decision-making, and streamline processes.
Bottom line: CPIM doesn’t just make you more knowledgeable, it makes you more effective. It prepares you to make smarter decisions, drive operational performance, and add measurable value in any supply chain environment.
Course Cadence
This course is held one night per week, 3 hours per session, for 16 weeks (schedule subject to change at the instructor's discretion).

Bundling Option Details
The bundle is only valid per individual member assignment.
This option is valid for members with "Certification Upgrade" only. Upgrade available at ASCM
Exam credit must be used within 6 months to purchase an Authorization to Test (ATT). Assigned exam credits will appear in your ASCM account as a payment option for ATT.
The ATT is valid for an additional 6 months from purchase for you to schedule and take the exam.
Candidates will ONLY qualify for the 2nd Chance Exam (retake), when they schedule and take their first exam within 90 days of purchasing their valid ATT and fail their exam.
The 2nd Chance Exam (retake), if issued, will be valid for 6 months.
You will have access to the Learning System online study tools for 12 months from the time you are assigned the online license.
